God’S Peace And Order

Written by Minister Ivu Boniface

God’s peace means that in God’s being and in his actions he is separate from all confusion and disorder, yet he is continually active in innumerable well ordered, fully controlled, simultaneous actions – Wayne Grude

God as the Source of Peace

  • God is not the author of confusion but of peace (1 Cor. 14:33).
  • He is the God of peace (Rom. 15:33; Phil. 4:9; 1 Thess. 5:23; Heb. 13:20).
  • Christ Himself is our peace (Eph. 2:14).

No Peace for the Wicked

Isaiah 48:22; 57:21 – “There is no peace for the wicked.”

Sin produces confusion, unrest, and destruction.

God’s Promise of Peace

  • God comforts and establishes His people (Isa. 54:11–12).
  • He leads them in peace (Isa. 55:12).
  • Peace is central to redemption (Ps. 29:11; John 14:27; 2 Thess. 3:16).

Peace as Fruit of the Spirit

Galatians 5:22–23 – Peace and self-control mark Spirit-filled living. Peace = orderly, disciplined life under God’s wisdom.

Early church had peace and grew (Acts 9:31).

Applications for Christians Today

  • Live orderly, peaceful lives reflecting God’s nature.
  • Pursue righteousness; sin brings confusion.
  • Let the Spirit produce peace and self control.
  • Walk in wisdom – “all her paths are peace” (Prov. 3:17).

Conclusion / Takeaway

  • God’s peace and order are His communicable attributes.
  • As His children, we should reject disorder and live in righteousness.
  • Let His Spirit rule our heart with peace (Rom. 14:17).
